Sample audit · names removed
What a local SEO audit looks like
This is a real audit of a gym in a small River Valley town, done with public information only. The name, address, phone and competitor names are removed. It shows how we score a business and what we fix first. It is an example of our method, not a client result.
The big finding: this gym already ranks first in its local search and has a good website. The gap is trust and handoff. It has only 3 Google reviews, the newest about a year old, and the Google listing sends people to an address of the site that did not load for us.

The score, section by section
We use a standard 100-point checklist. Anything we cannot confirm gets zero points, but we do not treat it as proof something is missing.
| Section | Score | What we found | |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Google Business Profile | 13/20 | Right category, hours, phone and 29 photos. Only 3 reviews. Claim status, posts and services not confirmed. | |
| 2. Website basics | 13/20 | Good mobile site with service pages, prices and a free-class offer. No schema, no page for the town, and the link from Google leads to a version of the address that failed to load for us. | |
| 3. Citations and NAP | 8/10 | Google, BBB, Yellow Pages and the site agree on name, address and phone. Yelp and Bing could not be checked. | |
| 4. Reviews and reputation | 5/10 | 5.0 stars, but 3 reviews and none in the last year. Two have owner replies. | |
| 5. Social media | 6/10 | Instagram with 719 followers and a recent post. No matching Facebook page confirmed. | |
| 6. Backlinks and authority | 2/10 | Not measured. Unverified items get no points. | |
| 7. Competition | 14/20 | First in the local search for the town, but nearby competitors show 7, 72 and 342 reviews. |

| Competitor A (in town) | 4.1 | 7 | Yes, thin |

| Competitor C (Fort Smith studio, paid ad) | 4.9 | 72 | Yes, strong |
The first three fixes
- Fix the handoff from Google. Point the profile at the version of the site that works, redirect the other, and make the phone number tap to call.
- Make the profile match reality. Confirm the hours people can actually show up, add services and a short local description, and post regular updates.
- Add local structure and reviews. Add schema and a page for the town, then ask members for honest reviews after a real class.
We do not promise rankings. We fix the basics, keep going, and tell you what is working.
